El Gato Azul

316 W, Goodwin St., Prescott

445-1070

Bob Shimizu is bringing jazz to Prescott, and the level of talent he's bringing to El Gato Azul is what folks would normally have to travel to the Valley to see. It starts on Wednesday, July 24 with Unlimited, a fusion quartetfeaturing Lamar Gaines, Will Gaines, Buddy Banks and Jermaine Lockhart. Unlimited delivers a fusion of jazz, funk, rock and other contemporary styles in their own particular mix.

On Thursday it's Brian Chartrand, who has been making some noise in the region and in Europe as a singer-songwriter. His unique outlook on contemporary life, love and the dynamics of living in today's world, is winning hearts-and-minds wherever he goes.  He has several albums to his credit and performs regularly with The Sweet Remains, The Voce Project and many others.  Brian will be joined with local guitar-slinger Adam Armijo, and perhaps Mike Florio on drums.

Treat yourself to a show or two; you won't regret it.
