Foundation fetes Elks anniversary, John Olsen on Feb. 22
After intermission of the "Travelin' Man" show on Sunday, Feb. 22, the Elks foundation will celebrate the building's 110th anniversary and honor long-time chairman and foundation member, John Olsen.

Jefferson Starship rocks for veterans
The seats of Yavapai College Performing Arts Center were packed with veterans for the Salute to Veterans concert on Friday, Feb. 13, presented by Help Hospitalized Veterans (HHV) in cooperation with Bugles Across America and Soldier's Wish. Part of the Department of Defense's nationwide initiative to commemorate and recognize the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, the 108th Army Band's rock band, Ordinance, opened for Jefferson Starship. There was also a portion before the bands played that honored Kayla Mueller, to whom the first song was dedicated.

'Travelin' Man' comes to Prescott on Feb. 22; fetes 110th anniversary of Elks
Don't stay too long at the malt shop because the teen idols live again as Lonely Street Productions presents "Travelin' Man" on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center. Starring Nick Gallardo, the performance celebrates the music of Ricky Nelson and other teen idols of the '50s and '60s. The show also marks a celebration of the Elks Theatre's 110th anniversary.

Country music tribute comes to Elks Feb. 15
The honky tonk will be livin' it up again this weekend as a tribute to Shania Twain and Tim McGraw comes to Prescott on Sunday, Feb. 15. Presented by Tad Management and held at the Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center, the act features Donna Huber as Twain and Adam D. Tucker as McGraw.

Jefferson Starship headlines sold-out Salute to Veterans concert (or can you still get a seat?)
Prescott-area veterans will be dancing with the dragon and lighting the sky on fire Friday, Feb. 13, as Jefferson Starship headlines the Salute to America concert at Yavapai College. Part of a national concert series partnering with the Department of Defense to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, the concert has been sold out for quite some time.

CheekTones celebrate 2nd album and 8-year anniversary
For the last 14 months, The CheekTones have been working on a second album and on Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7, the band will celebrate the album's release at the Brick and Bones Moonshine Bar and Bistro in downtown Prescott.

And if that wasn't cause enough to celebrate, The CheekTones will also mark its 8th anniversary.

Germany's Booze Bombs rock The Point in Prescott on Jan. 28
Oktoberfest might have already passed a few months ago, but it's never too late to step in time to some German music. On Wednesday, Jan. 28, German rockabilly group The Booze Bombs will take the stage at The Point in downtown Prescott.

Bob Kolar, manager of The Point, said he's played rockabilly music for a long time and The Booze Bombs are friends of his, stating he met them through a mutual gig and really hit it off.

The Central Arizona Concert Band will present its Winter Concert on Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Davis Learning Center on the Embry-Riddle University campus at 3 p.m. Under the direction of Clydene Dechert, the band will present a varied program of popular selections ranging from traditional marches to an original "rap" by percussionist Dr. Stan Gibb.
